I am happy to have read your post and reviewed your curriculum vitae. I agree that a resume only offers a brief summary of someone’s education and experience, while a curriculum vitae gives much more details. I also like your observation that resumes should not be more than two pages, while CVs can have more and more pages (“Purdue,” 2020).
I would also like to add the aspect of purpose. It is important to note that curriculum vitae is usually used when an individual is applying for job positions such as research positions and in academia since its content entails a person’s comprehensive professional and academic history. On the other hand, a resume has been adopted as a standard document for applying for jobs in most industries (McCleary-Gaddy et al.,2022). The implication is that a person needs to tailor a resume to a particular job opportunity while highlighting qualifications for the job opportunity.
Thanks also for sharing your curriculum vitae. I would like to comment that it contains all the basic requirements of a curriculum vitae. There are a few things I feel you could add to your curriculum vitae to make it more comprehensive and appealing. For example, under the research experience section, you could add some of the roles (Gottlieb et al.,2021).
The teaching role experience has highlighted what you have been doing, which is a plus. However, you may need to write more about the roles by being comprehensive. Since this is a curriculum vitae, I think it would be better to add referees; what do you think? I also believe that you will have a more comprehensive CV when you finally manage to publish research articles as part of your research work. All the best in all your attempts to build on what you currently have.
